Mrs. Wong always criticize Mr. Kok saying that he is
so stingy, so today Mr. Kok spend all of the staff to ‘Kentucky Fried Chicken’
at lunch hour. The bill is sixty over
dollars, I ate snack pack, apple juice, and ice cream.
At night actually we wanna go to the show ‘愤怒青年’at Lido, but full house, so to ‘Hit Man’ at Cathay, lousy picture,
nearly fall asleep.
Supper at D.R. Park.
Got only 20$ left just getting the salary, return 50$
to Mum, gave her 40$, 死会20$.
Fat gave 10$ to me, bought a pair of slippers in Liew’s
shop.
4 Aug 73 (Sat)
To see Kong2.
All our staff gang came, I gave a name for all our
girls called ‘Crazy girls’, to the show ‘Twilight People’, lousy! For children to see only, the scientist tried
to turn all the people to ‘Ape Man’, ‘Wolf Woman’, ‘Batman’, ‘Antelope Man’ and
so on, they said all my fault so they wanted me to give back money to them.
After the show, I bought some ABJ’s cake for Mum. Mum spends them ‘云吞麺’.
Accompany Ong to go to shopping, saw some beautiful
material, bags & shoes, but no money to buy, feel that life is meaningless
without money.
3 Aug 73 (Fri)
After work, with Tan, Ong took us to ‘Sidney Hair
Dressing’, I change my hair style to Shaggy Look, after cutting my hair, it was
quite nice, but after perm, look so ugly, Shir said I look like Helen Tan, the
operator next to our office, I don’t like her.
At eight o’clock still not yet ready, Shir took two umbrella to us cos’
its raining, she laugh at me, cos’ I am not wearing my speck.
Invite them to my house called mee & crab for them
to eat, I spend used 5.00$, perm hair 10$.
5 Aug 73 (Sun)
Yesterday I washed my white shoes, one is snow white
in colour, the other one cannot wash till white, it was brown in colour, now
the pair of shoes look like hell. Bought
the powder to whiten it, but still couldn’t.
Saw the Newspaper said that a kind of mouth freshener
is good for bad breath, so went to the pharmacy and ask for it, but none, they
said the ‘Listerins’ breathe spray is better, size like lipstick, cost 3.00$,
taste like mint.
8 Aug 73 (Wed)
Ong lends me a book name ‘Every Woman’, it’s quite a
good book, describe all the sexual organ of woman.
9 Aug 73 (Thur)
Intend to buy a slippers at ‘Anchor’ but no money,
asked Fat to give me ten dollars, he does so.
Next to ‘Anchor’ is Liew’s shop, got lots of stylish shoes too, so
instead of buying the slippers from ‘Anchor’, I bought a sandals in Liew’s
shop.
To the show ‘Secret Rites’, quite horrible, all about
the funny traditions of the world.
10 Aug 73 (Fri)
No bosses today, no working mood.
After work went to Far East Book Store, buy a plastic
cover for my Advance Book-Keeping text book.
Saw a cute smiley purse, asked how much? The
shopkeeper said 50￠, but I saw there written
$1.50, she must have over look it, if I asked her to wrap it straight away,
everything won’t happen, but I was so stupid, asked her to reduce the price,
she looked at the price again, and said it was actually $1.50, reduce to $1.10
for me, I’ve lost 60￠.
Done my book-keeping exercise although not all are
correct, but Sir said I am smart, cos’ nobody do the home work. How to improve?
11 Aug 73 (Sat)
Weekend again, since no bosses, chat around.
Took a bath washed my hair, to shir’s tailor’s place,
all of them, Tan, her cousins, Helen Tan, Shir all waiting for me, went to the
show ‘Wicked, Wicked’, very special, it was ‘Duo Cinema-Scope’, the screen is
divided into two parts, we can see two things happened at the same time, nice
music too.
To Kong2’s place.
Toto almost barking every night, woke me up.
12 Aug 73 (Sun)
Doing my book keeping for the whole morning, Advance
text book chapter one is all from Elementary Stage 1, last time I have learnt
before, but the exercise book I’ve thrown away already, so nothing to refer.
After lunch, to Shir’s place, asked her to teach me,
after finished, we chat till 3.00 pm before I went home.
Rock every week playing Porker also loss few hundred
dollars, this week also the same.
Borrow a ‘Better letters writing’ book from Teh.

After my book-keeping class, went to the picture ‘愤怒青年’, it was about the young generation of today, they all seems don’t
satisfy about everything in these world.
15 Aug 73 (Wed)
I wanna buy a book from Readers Digest, today I’ve
received the COD card, no money, so withdrew 40$ from Mercantile Bank.
At lunch hour, we ate curry rice at clock tower, I
went to the nearby General Post Office and get my book ‘Write better, speak
better’, together was 36.66$.
After work, we just have a look at the newly opened ‘Globe
Store’, saw a handbag, white in colour and it is latest style, immediately fell
in love with it.
So after book keeping, borrow 10.00$ from Mum, rush to
the shop and bought it, tomorrow I’ll be using my new handbag already.
