It was a cool fine day, so I woke up at about 10.00
am.
I like this fine and windy day.
I sold back the Oil of Ulan to Chin, cos’ I still got
half a bottle, so got $7.00 more to spend.
18 Sept 73 (Tue)
Mrs. Goon knew that Ho fell in love with Mr. Goon, so
these few days, Mr. Goon has gone to Japan, she came, talked with June for such
a long time, June sure told her everything, cos Ho was her enemy.
Mrs. Goon came and also brought all the other director’s
wives to see Ho.
When she returned 20￠ to Ho, Ho didn’t accept, know what she said, she said ‘yours is yours,
mine is mine, hope you don’t take what is mine’.
June said want to bet with me that Ho will be sack
soon, asked me to learn the Machine.
21 Sept 73 (Fri)
Ong wanted to take up Econ. So after work I accompany her to register in
our Commercial School, so bad luck, Sir fell sick.
With Mum to the show ‘Deliverance’, very horrible and
exciting, no wonder can get 3 Oscar prizes.
22 Sept 73 (Sat)
Tan is leaving us to further study in UK, so after
work, we gave her a farewell lunch at ‘Magic Bowl’, asked Mr. Kok to join us.
So lousy the set lunch at ‘Magic Bowl’, two small
pieces of pork chop, over cooked. Not
worthwhile.
To the Tailor, got 1 pajamas & 1 blouse for her to
sew, the other 2 dresses still not yet sew for me.
Mr. Kok gave Ong 100$ asked her to go & buy a
Parker pen for Tan as souvenir, presented by MJ Const., I took them to Tai
Meng, bought a set cost 80$.
Today I used 10$.
23 Sept 73 (Sun)
Company organized a trip to Thailand， I signed up already, so got to have a Cholera
injection, to Dr. Liew’s Clinic, he said too early to inject, two weeks before
we go is the proper time, I go at 27th Oct 73, so next month to Dr.
Liew again. At the same time I asked him
to give me some medicine, cos’ I got a gastric, always felt uncomfortable.
25 Sept 73 (Tue)
No mood to study Economic tonight, instead I went to
the show ‘晚秋’with Mum.
To night, all our gang gathers in my house, Tan wanna
give us a treat. We formed one club, Tan
name it ‘The Trend Settlers’.
26 Sept 73 (Wed)
Tan left to UK today, we felt a bit sad. Cos’ miss a
good friend.
28 Sept 73 (Fri)
After work, Shir came to my house, ate dinner &
bath here.
She is very weak after her sickness, I asked her to go
to Dr. Liew’s Clinic and get some vitamin pills, she is so lazy to go.
Stay in my house till 8.00 pm, her sis came and fetch
her.
Shir quite 可怜, got lots of problems, she
said if she die, she also feels 不留恋这世界. Cos’ the chatter box Janet
told everybody that shir was working as a Carlsberg girl, when June knew it,
she said if it is true, it’s shame to our Company, what so shameful about? 用劳力换来的钱.
29 Sept 73 (Sat)
九皇爷, they suggested to go to 哪咤庙and have some 斋. I don’t feel like going, but they pull me so hard that I’ve to obey
them.
We ate 斋Laksa, 云吞，斋老味，斋粉等. Went inside the temple to 求签，it was a good 签，hope 灵.
After the lunch, to Mr. Kok’s house, her wife teaches
us how to bake Santan cake, with coconut milk, very delicious, she offer us Ah 扎too.
About five, we went to the Padang, watch our Directors
playing football against Cooper Brothers, our side lost.
I don’t like Irene.
One guy keep calling me ‘Panda’ cos’ I am wearing a
Panda Tee Shirt.
30 Sept 73 (Sun)
Warm, bathe twice.
Tomorrow is the pay day, got to save some money to go
to Thailand.
