1972 5月1-15日（沙沙的烂英文日记）

1 May 72 (Mon)

Went to Dr. Liew for injection, for I wanted my menstruation to come on the same time each month, the Dr. also gave me some pills to keep up my appetite, some vitamin pills too.

After cleaning the floor, felt very sleepy, I think it was because of the pill.  Shir came and told me to go over to her house, she said somebody from RRI have came, I went to her place immediately, how nice to see Baram, Wong Meng, Ho, Joseph and Ah Kam there, talked for not very long, they’re leaving to KL and asked whether we could go out with them or not tonight?

At 8.30, they’ve came, I haven’t dressed up yet, so Shir and Ho went to fetch two more girls, since they don’t know the way to ‘Kowloon’, so I walked there with Baram, Wong Meng & Joseph, I was wearing maxi, seems everybody was staring at me, they said I’ve got a stupid thought, in KL they said you could see girls wearing this type walking everywhere.

Wong Meng is my partner, Baram also dances with me.  Shir introduced the other two girls to me, but I already knew them, they’re my classmate.

We ate ‘chicken legs’ opposite the market, after finished, Ho sends us back, it was 1.00 am something, Mum opened the door for me. 

Kam didn’t go for he wanted to see the manager because of some business

 

2 May 72 (Tue)

Bought a piece of material for making ‘knee length’ costs me 6.50$.

The show ‘Blind Terror’ is quite exciting.  Starring by Mia Farrow.

Ate in Canning.

 

3 May 72 (Wed)

Made my new knee length, very sleepy the whole day, I think it’s because of the pills the doctor gave me.

But went to the doctor, the doctor said you better don’t scare this scare that, just take the pills as I told you, it’s no harm but good for you, I also felt malu.

4 May 72 (Thur)

The RRI fellas will come to check our Lab tomorrow, that Ho said although you don’t have any samples, but you still have to come, so Shir and I decided to go to the show tonight, so that they can’t contact us, and told Mum if receive any phone call, just said I’m out, how lazy we are.  But at 8 o’clock, Wong Meng and Ho came, no hope, so we went out with them.  They’ve seen all the picture showing in the cinema, I suggest to go to coffee house, but they said no fun, so walked to Kowloon Nite Club again.  Wong Meng praises that the members of our family are very friendly.

They all live in Lowloon, so when Ho and Shir are dancing, Wong Meng said he wanted to go upstairs and see whether Baram has came back or not, but don’t want to left me behind alone, at first I refuse and said I don’t mind waiting here, but he insists me to go.  Mr. Baram hasn’t came back yet, so he invited me to have a look in his beautiful room, actually not a bit beautiful, he offers me a cream puff which brought back from Penang, I can’t finish, too much cream inside made me sick.  Later, that Wong Meng switch off the light, he said like that is much more romantic, but I walked there to switch it on, he switch off again and open the bedside lamp, I am very angry and wanted to get out of here, so he said he was sorry to scare me, I said I’m not scare, but it was not nice like that, went down to the nite club, they were waiting for us.

Shir spend us the Sar Ho Fun outside the 金山.  It was almost 1.00am before we get back.  Ho didn’t mention that tomorrow we got to go to work, Alas!

 

5 May 72 (Fri)

Early this morning, somebody was knocking at our room door, Mum opened it, it was Shir, she said that two fellas have came, wanted to see me, so I dressed up in a hurried.  They all waiting beside the car, gave me a bag of mangoes, talked a few minutes, they’ll be leaving to KL now, so we shake hand and said see you all again and they left.

I want to make a cat suit, but the making fees is quite high $8.00, so I  better make it myself, I’ve made it, but too big, grandma correct it for me.

At night, Fat spent us 大成，his friend Ah Fook is so ugly, that I can’t even take another look at him anymore.

Although get injection, but the period still hasn’t come yet.

 

6 May 72 (Sat)

Went to the show ‘骗术大观’, not so nice as the first series.  Mum spent 金亚after the show.

Roamed around the town with Fish, bought a record ‘Mammy Blue’, gave to 力 when his birthday come, bought groundnut and so on used $6.00.

 

7 May 72 (Sun)

Like to take a rest on Sunday afternoon, but Sar Ku’s whole family came, played Jin Ramie with them, loss 5 dollars, very heartache indeed.

Received Chin Hock’s phone call, said that our factory will come a new trainee, I think may be replace the place of Ah Kam, because he is too careless and lazy to let John Lee (from RRI) discovered that we choose our samples. 

And also knew that the Lee Gombak’s Long Choo will be getting married next month.

 

8 May 72 (Mon)

My period still hasn’t come, stomach feeling very uncomfortable.

At last, I finished my diary from 3^rd April till now’s.

Fat gave me a ‘cross word puzzle’ to do, he said if I can get it, he will spend me, within 5 minutes, I finished it all correctly, so I want him to spend me Diamond Restaurant.

 

9 May 72 (Tue)

We bought a cake for Kam’s birthday, although his birthday was over, 4^th May, but at that time, we didn’t go to work, he was very glad and wanted to spend us to the show tonight.  Rocky gave him a photo album, at about seven, we went to the show ‘Le Mans’, Boon Ching and the new cashier also came along too, after the show, that Kam suggests to go to the night club, so we went to ‘The King’s Blue Diamond’, that Kam is a very poor dancer, I don’t like to dance with him.

Nearly reach midnight, we ate our supper at ‘Lian Seng’, that Kam has spent quite a lot of money, but he was really very happy tonight.

 

10 May 72 (Wed)

Kam said John Lee of the RRI intent to close down our Lab, once we heard this news, Shir and I all so worried about our job, but Kam said probably he’ll close our Lab for only two to three months, so we’ll have a long holidays, when we heard this, we plan to go to Hong Kong , so childish!

 

11 May 72 (Thur)

FF came, went to the book shop, I bought one story book ‘碧云秋梦2.20$.

Bought some 豆腐干to eat at home.  FF spent 清补凉, after that, we ate at ‘Diamond Restaurant’, wow! Ate so many things, so full that nearly die.

 

12 May 72 (Fri)

No work again, went to Dr. Liew in order to get more vitamin pills, Dr. told me to weigh, I increased 4 lbs (98), it shows good.

Went to ‘Bata’ at the Jalan Yang Kalsom with Shir, bought a 大钝屐，costs me 10.30$.

At 12.00 we intend to go to the show, but there’s no good film for us, so we just look around in the Kings Record Shop, bought a record ‘Melody Fair’， original sound track from the film ‘S.W.A.L.K.’ sung by Bee Gees, very nice song.  We haven’t had our lunch, so went to the ‘Western’ but unfortunately full house, so went to Oasis, I ate a hamburger and root beer, Shir strawberry milkshake & Submarine, bought one Submarine for Mum, today I’ve used 20.30$, on the way back home, I stopped at the book shop, bought two story book for her as birthday present ‘难忘的一天征文’.

 

13 May 72 (Sat)

Today is the unlucky day for me, I burnt my hand, the Sodium Hydroxide made my hand red hot and so painful.

I hate Albert, I’m sick to see his face, such a stingy fellow, it’s better for him to die faster.

Rock intends to buy a car, but scolded by grandpa.

Yee Ku came back from KL, bought a roast duck for us.

Stay at home watching TV’s Mandarin film ‘雨过天晴’, quite good.

1972 4月16-30 （沙沙的烂英文日记）

16 Apr 72 (Sun)

姨丈 bought a lot of 卤味and bread as our breakfast, Tua Yee offer me a drumstick.

Start our visit to the world’s biggest bird part, Cloud, 悠 and I sit in the Mini Minor, the rest followed 姨丈.  In Jurong Bird Park we sat the buggy which went round the park, with a guide to explain everything to us, Island and I went into the 天罗地网to have some snaps, all sorts of birds can be seen in this park, I bought some postcards.

Went back to have our lunch, Island suggested to go to the Changi Beach, Cloud cut her leg in bird park, so she went home with Mr. & Mrs. 柯。

Island drove us to the Payalevan International Airport, I think Subang Airport is better than this.

In Changi Beach, we just get down off the car to have some sea breeze because I didn’t bring my swimming costume.  In People’s Emporium, bought some Chinese food and letter pads.  Island wanted me to spend them to the Merlin Coffee House, before I agree, he just drove straight into it, Lord! My bag got only two something only.  I told 悠 to pay the bill, 悠’s pocket also ‘kosong’, at last Island slowly pulled out his purse and paid the bill, he stole the tea spoon for me, I stole the round paper in the table for souvenir.

It was almost five when we got home, we bath and dress up hurriedly, because at six o’clock we were going to the Jurong Drive.  In cinema, the ticket is 2 dollars per person, we parked our car on a nice place, then went to the ‘Serve Yourself Canteen’, it’s quite interesting to get your own food, once you get in, the first thing to do is to get a paper’s box, what are the food you like to eat, just took it and put in the box, beside Western food, there are also Chinese food like fried Meehoon, chicken porridge and so on…all are placed in a paper cup with a cap on it, they’re all hot one.  I choose a bag of sandwiches, hotdog and a can of Coke, queue up to pay for it, also with all sorts of sauces on it, also with plastic spoon, chopsticks and straws, once you used it, just throw it away or keep for souvenir, it’s really fun.

The name of the picture is ‘Bad Man’s River, I slept in the car, very dull pic.  Roamed around then get home.

 

17 Apr 72 (Mon)

This is my last day in S’pore, everyone seems very sad and 无心机，I myself also like that.

Look around in Spore’s Chinese book store, bought a book for FF and Ah Mah, two for myself.  Walked along the High St. shopping street in S’pore, in Metro, bought a sexy boots for 宜宜, she told me to buy for her, simply look in the Eastern Emporium, don’t have much money to shop anything anymore. 

‘Golden Mile’ an unopened shopping centre is quite nice.  Went to the Jurong Hill Top Restaurant with only a few shillings in our pocket, we could see the sea and the factory up on the building, it started to rain, so far away the sea is a bit blur, it’s very nice at this moment.  On the way back, we saw a car accident, very serious one, the car knocked on the lamp pole and made it crooked, a mango tree also being knocked down by them, three men lying on the road side all blooded, I think they had died, Cloud is scared, she drives slowly now, we have a look in the Queen’s Town Japanese Garden, saw many cute things, but don’t have money to buy.

At night, Cloud said it was my last night in S’pore, must go out, but I’m very tired, but after all, tomorrow got to leave, so we went to People’s Complex again, Cloud said first night we came here, last night also must come here, didn’t buy anything, just eat a soft ice cream, simply walked around in 牛车水.

Tua Yee told Cloud to cut a piece of cake for me, that day left over, she also made a cup of Holick for me. 

Tua Yee helped me to pack, and give me 20$.

 

18 Apr 72 (Tue)

Breakfast is egg and luncheon meat, everybody keep quiet, because it was the day to depart.  Early this morning, about six, Tua Yee called everybody to get up.  I’m felling sleepy, because last night, everyone has sound asleep, except Cloud, still reading a story book until 2.00am so the light keep me awake.

Reach the Railway Station, Shir has came, Tua Yee brought the tickets for us, but we’ll send back the money to her, checked our luggage, didn’t tax a cent, at 8.00 sharp, the train moved, I wave to them, we’re so 依依不舍, I have the last look at the three of them, Tua Yee saw me looking at her, she keeps her head down, at last, we left S’pore far behind.

In the train, we ate a dozen of sandwiches, and Sunkist.  Shir gave me a belated birthday present, it’s a bottle of ‘Brug’, men’s perfume.

Sleep till the train reached KL at 3.00, change to another train to Ipoh, this train don’t have 2^nd class, very lousy one, we nearly died in it.  At last, reach Ipoh, almost 8.00pm.  Mum, Rock & Fat were waiting at the station, helped us to carry the luggage.

Get home, took out the presents and gave to them.

Have a cold bath, made me freeze, Mum spend me to Diamond Restaurant to have my supper.

Very, very, very tired indeed, went to bed at 11.00pm.

Tomorrow got to go to work.

 

19 Apr 72 (Wed)

So hard to get up, my bones seem all broken up into pieces, swallow a Yeast-Vite.  No samples today but have to clean up all the places.  After we finished all the work, we took a rest, but the bloody Kam scold us saying that, who told you to come just sitting there, go and clean the table.  Shir and I are so angry with him, hope that he’ll knock down by the lorry afterwards he went out.

Reached home, went to bed immediately, Mum and Rock went to the show.

 

20 Apr 72 (Thur)

Took one day leave, because I haven’t recovered yet.

Shir said got a few samples only.

 

21 Apr 72 (Fri)

Dressed up and get ready to go to work, feeling stomachache, after coming out from the lavatory, felt so uncomfortable, so Mum told me to stay one more day at home and have some rest.

Went to see Doctor Liew C S in the evening.

Shir came to see me after work, she told me not to go tomorrow, because there’re only few samples to test, I better rest one more day.

 

22 Apr 72 (Sat)

Feeling much better today.

Shir said tomorrow we’ve to go to work, as overtime.  We laugh at her said that Ah Kam wanted to see her, even on Sunday he still wanted her to do overtime.

 

23 Apr 72 (Sun)

We didn’t bring along our tiffin container, we decided to eat outside.  Only do the Dirt Test, so it took very little time to finish.

Lunch time, Ah Kam told us to go along with them, cashier drives the car, Boon Ching also came along, that stupid Kam told the cashier to stop at ‘汉元’, so many nice things in this world he doesn’t know to eat, took us to eat this lousy 潮州粥.

After the lunch, they send us back.

 

24 Apr 72 (Mon)

Took the letter scrabble to the Lab to play whenever we’re free, but that dammit Kam told us not to play.

Write a letter to Tua Yee, thanking her everything while I was in S’pore.

 

25 Apr 72 (Tue)

If we knew earlier that there are such a few samples to do, we didn’t want to rush back at such a hurry.

Feeling life is rather boring, I think is because I played too much, went out alone, look around in the book store, bought some 零食to eat at home, while reading the story book.

 

26 Apr 72 (Wed)

Went to the show ‘Sun Flower’ starring is Sophia Loren, very touching film.  After the show, it was raining, Mum hasn’t been to the Eastern Coffee House before, so we took her there, Wow! So cold inside because of the air-cont. everybody is shivering, we drank a cup of hot coffee, Mum pays the bill, 2.00, she blames us to take her there, because it’s rather expensive.  Went to ‘Malaysia’ to have our supper.

 

27 Apr 72 (Thur)

To the picture ‘The Grasshopper’, actually it was not really an adult firm, it was about a girl’s life between the age of 19 to 22, the story was quite meaningful.  In only four years time, the girl has tasted all the bitterness of this world she lives in, I like this film.

 

28 Apr 72 (Fri)

Rock likes to date Linda out, but he is so scared, so Mum and I walked to Dr. Liew’s clinic to call her out, but she’s shy and dare not answer us, so we gave up.  Went to Canning and have some ‘makan’.

 

29 Apr 72 (Sat)

Bought 3 keychain, with Horoscope on it, there’re for Yang, Tua Yee and Cloud.

 

30 Apr 72 (Sun)

Boy, Cotton and Fish gave me a belated present, it was a can of candies, so I treated them all with ice kachang, used $1.70.

My period still hasn’t come, very uncomfortable.

At 12.00 Lim gone back, and we’ve to stay till 5.00, at 3 o’clock, Boon Ching took 3 samples and told us to find out the dirt determine, so we’ve to do overtime, the sky is so dark and full of clouds, a big shower may come, but fortunately met our friend Ah 颜and gave us a lift home.

We have 3 complimentary tickets of the Talent Time Contest, but they said it’s very lousy one, so we went to the show ‘双侠’, more lousy.

2 Apr 72 (Sun)

悠 is not feeling very well, sleep for the whole day long, grandma has came back, I serve her.

Went to Library with FF, after that, we went to the show ‘淘气女歌手’, FF spends me.

3 Apr 72 (Mon)

No samples today, went to shopping with 悠, in Lendo we saw two very lovely caps, like a head of a cartoon dog,  we wore it, looking at the mirror and laugh like mad, the shopkeepers and all the customers laugh at us too, we decided to buy it, but too expensive.  We walked to old town, but shop nothing.  Finally we bought that caps, 1.50$.

4 Apr 72 (Tue)

Sar Ku gave us two tickets for the show ‘东南亚话剧’, Kim is very lazy, she wants to go with rickshaw, very low class show, but the 四宝and 王沙野峰is quite nice.

5 Apr 72 (Wed)

Got our salary, went to ‘Kong  Fatt’ immediately with 悠, to buy that bag, 7.90, don’t even less a cent for me.

Ah Mah 卤鸡, ate a lot.

Promise to take 悠 to ‘Eastern’, Rock wanted to come along, but got no money, so 悠 and I gave him five dollars 压底, we go first, wait for him in front of ‘Eastern’, Rock came together with Ah Chong ‘big nose’.

Raining, we went home with rickshaw, Rock borrow $5 dollars from Ah Mah.

Gave back 悠’s money and 1$ for me, so I only spend 4$ only.

Forgotten what had happened today.

7 Apr 72 (Fri)

悠 has gone to E. Ku’s house stayed there for several days.

I spend Shir to ‘Nizam’, we ate so much, that our stomach got no room for more, two pieces of chicken, Mutapat and susu, costs me 4.15$.

8 Apr 72 (Sat)

We went to the show ‘Cat of nine tails’, very exciting picture.

Yang came, went to ‘Eastern’ with him.

He gave me some trick to guess.

We don’t have half-day on Saturday, although we have finished our work.

Afternoon, Rocky, 悠, together with Durian and his girl friend came, took some photo in our Lab, rock suggests to go to Sam Po Tung and Coronation Park, Lim took the factory’s car & go along with them.

We didn’t take our lunch until three o’clock, went out to eat in the lousy coffee shop.

9 Apr 72 (Sun)

Ah Kam said from Tuesday onwards we don’t have to work till he told us to do so, I’ve made up my mind to follow 悠 to S’pore, I pack my bags at night.  悠 discovered that her passport has overdue one week, she’s so frighten that cried all day, Sar Ku promised to 搅掂for her.

10 Apr 72 (Mon)

As usual, we went to work, but the factory is so quiet, saw Ah Kam standing there, he said today got no samples until he told us to come, Shir and I cheered at the same time.

Walked home happily.

悠 and Sar Ku came back from the immigration office and said that 悠 must leave M’sia within 24 hours, so we must start our trip immediately, finished Ah Mah’s 卤鸡, starts our journey to KL by taxi, in KL changed taxi to Seremban, taxi fees costs us 11$, it’s 4 something we took our bath and have our dinner in 丝姨婆’s house, meet Beng2’s family.

At night 悠 went to visit her friend, we have a rest at home.

Beng2’s husband took us to car ride, at about 9, we went to the picture ‘魔笛神童’at 安心’s cinema, very childish film.

11 Apr 72 (Tue)

Beng2 looks very old and depressed, because her new born baby had just passed away, I was also grieved at the sad news.

Didn’t sleep well last night, the bloody clock strikes every 15 mins made me awake.

Early in the morning, 丝姨婆took us to have our breakfast, then bought some mangoes for Tua Yee.

安心bought our tickets, at ten, the train moved southward, have our lunch in the train, 悠 and I ate chicken chop and orange juice.

About 4.30, reached Singapore, Tua Yee and Cloud(云云) were waiting for us, Tua Yee said I look so fair like a European girl.  They stayed in the 9^th storey.

After bath and ‘makan’, Cloud took us to one of the biggest shopping centre in S’pore ‘The Peoples’ Park Complex’ 珍珠坊，I felt like lost in a fairy land, the lights and designs are so nice, I haven’t seen such a beautiful place before, the stairs are all automatic, Cloud took us to a place where they sell ‘soft ice cream’, Shir spend us, we sucked the ice cream as we walk along, the ice cream is very delicious and nice.  I bought some note book for Boy and so on, I myself bought a knit-wear 9.00$ only, Cloud spend S’pore’s Yong Tau Fu, not bad, we just simply walked here and there, that also took us almost 3 hrs, the parking fee is 1.20, horrible.

Cloud drives us to the 1^st class hotel ‘Shangri-la’, she told us to order coffee only, because she didn’t have enough money, it’s really splendid inside, the name is ‘Coffee Garden’, there’s a big bird cage inside made with glass, we could see colourful birds flying here and there.  At first Cloud took us to the reserve seat and driven out by the waiter, so malu, I took some packed sugar and matches for souvenir.

We then walked around, saw the swimming pool, went into the toilet, wow! So nice, all carpeted, a girl waiting there to serve you, we didn’t give her tips.

We went into a place where they sell souvenir, Philippine house, all sorts of decorations are made with woods, Cloud shows us a coffin lying with 僵尸，she told us to open the cover of the coffin, we do so, a penis stuck out, we laughed so loud that everybody starring at us.  This is my first day in S’pore, haven’t met Ocean（洋洋） yet.
 

12 Apr 72 (Wed)

About six something, I woke up, saw Ocean and Island（洲洲）, they’re eating their breakfast.  Nine, they all woke up, we ate 虾面at downstairs, after that, we went to Nanyang University to help 悠 to clear her room, so dirty and smelly inside her hostel.  悠 spent us 叉烧饭in the canteen, we took some photograph, straight away to the ‘Hoa Pau Villa’ 虎豹别墅，so warm, we simply took some photo then went home.

Shir wanted to shift to Joyce’s house, Island took us to the Hyatt Hotel to have a look, very nice, especially the 水晶灯, they said it costs 1,000 dollars, ate Momochacha at 红灯码头（Satay Village），Island spent.

Roamed around in Cold Storage, 100 times bigger than Ipoh one.  Dropped Shir in Katung Joyce’s house, Island drives me to have a look at ‘卫星市’ then we went home, I felt really tired.

13 Apr 72 (Thur)

Tua Yee is free today, so she’s able to go out together with us, Tua Yee do the driving, we went to Isetan, a Japanese shop, the things inside are very nice but the price is also very horrible, I bought some Indian key chain and pen.  One golden chocker, Tua Yee bought me a heart-shape necklace with wording written on it, it’s written ‘I’ll keep on loving you forever’.  Tanglin, new shopping centre, haven’t open yet. And CK Tang also.

We have our lunch in the ‘Miramar Restaurant’ 美丽华，ate Hong Kong 点心, surely Tua Yee spent.

At night, write a letter home reporting everything.

Have dinner in wonderland’s 天安楼, the dishes are quite good.  In Wonderland I played the ‘Jet Coastal’ very frightening, I scream, played some games, listen to singers singing, it’s quite late, then went home.

14 Apr 72 (Fri)

Cloud didn’t change much, still very greedy and like to talk all sorts of silly things, she calls me ‘Sore Po’ and I call her 死女人，I’m so glad when her father warns her not to call me Sore Po again.

悠 didn’t go out with us today, before we go to the show ‘The Sisters’，Cloud took me to Robinson, O.C.B.C. Shopping Centre, we were hungry and ate at the nearby coffee house ‘Honeyland’, chicken pie 60& each and orange juice, this time I paid the bill.  Walked to Change Alley, bought a key chain with name on it to Rocky.

It’s almost time, Cloud straight away drives to the ‘Orchard Theatre’, the biggest theatre in S’pore, Cloud bought the 1^st class seat 2$.

The ground floor of this theatre is the Bowling hall with 24 lanes, quite large.  This theatre is also the 1^st one in Singapore with automatic staircase.

The film was not very nice, I slept in it.

We have our dinner in 大众’s 金冠，Tua Yee said I still got a lot of time in S’pore, so tonight I better stay at home to have some rest or watch TV.  At about 8, Mum phoned to me, saying that we have to go back to work on Wednesday, when I heard this, I nearly cried out, because I still got a lot of places to visit, how dare that bloody Kam to call us back, Cloud and so on are also very angry with that Kam.  Tua Yee plans to visit all the famous places in this three days.

I bought a key chain for Tua Yee in CK Tang.

15 Apr 72 (Sat)

Today is my 22^nd birthday, Tua Yee has promised to celebrate for me.  She made Jelly early in the morning and told 柯姨丈 to order cake, I felt quite 过意不去, for I made them waste a lot of money.

First thing in the morning, to the Library of Singapore University, Cloud has to renew her books, then came back to fetch Tua Yee, 悠 and Ocean, first place to visit was the Supreme House Shopping Centre, Tua Yee bought a hippie’s bag for me.  Lunch time, we went to the Prince Room to have our set lunch, 2.50 per person, serve with mushroom soup, chicken chop, bread & butter, coffee and ice cream, after finished, everyone of us felt so full that we couldn’t move.

Following was the Peninsula Shopping Centre, all the shopping Centre are almost the same, with carpets, air-cont and automatic staircase.  Ocean bought one hanky for me as my birthday present.

One thing the poster shops are decorated very nicely, very dark inside, with a kind of lights shone on the posters to make it shining, it’s fantastic!

We’ve visited Chancellor 大人公司, MPH, in Cold Storage, I bought a Noritaki cup for Ocean 2.50$.

Get home, I have my bath, they took out the jelly, cakes and so on, told me to take photo, I cut the cake, they all sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

This is my first birthday in Singapore.

At night, we youngsters all went out, except Mr. & Mrs. 柯, Island drove us to the Reservoir, this are the place for the lovers, we get down to walk around, Island didn’t find a place for car park, he said afterward come and fetch us.  Everybody seems starring at us, we felt so malu, 悠 and I sang some songs, but Cloud scolds us, she said we two are just like the bad women 卖唱in the street.  At last Island came, surely scold by Cloud, car ride to Mount Faber, Cloud always scares of the car by falling down from the Mount Faber, so funny!

Island treats us to the A & W Drive In, but we didn’t eat in the car, because it was very warm indeed, but the inside was quite special and 别有风味, like a simple wooden house in South America, the tables are all 刻with a type of Red Indian’s design, 一进去就可以嗅到一阵阵炸东西的香味, I order a Mamma burger and fresh milk, very delicious, besides we have potatoes chips and pop corns, they said the root beer here are very famous, I afraid it’s rather expensive, so I dare not order that, Island spends 10 something in this meal.

We went to the New World 新世界，Cloud and I played the ghost trolley, I scream and scream, so Cloud also got frightened by my scream, HA!

Cloud forced Ocean to spend me the S’pore famous 虾面，Cloud is very greedy, she called a bowl of pig tail soup, Ocean must be very heartache.  After that, we went go Bugis Street to see the world’s famous Puantan, went to 纪念碑，on it it’s written ‘Our glorious Dead’, we saw a car accident, get down and have a look, when we get back it’s almost 1.00am.

An unforgettable day in my life.

1972 星加坡之游

妈,“咪”<----悠加的

哗！山精出城，新加坡这地方真是‘无得顶’，今早大姨载我们去找文，慧生，然后去‘Isetan’ - 伊势丹，Tanling， 诗家董shopping, 我买了些小玩意给你，大姨又请吃‘Mirama’点心，那些地方真是高贵得不得了，那大头妹去了朋友处住，更好！

大姨的人很好笑，讲的东西笑到我半死，key chain 跟云云争个不停，她说要收集high class 及漂亮的，拿她的出来给我看，哎呀！全部都‘玉酸’到半死，妳收集的比她漂亮得多了。

昨晚，阿洲载我们到处逛，去红灯码头，伊丽莎白道吃Momo Cha Cha，satay, 又去Cold Storage 看，哗！大到不得了，坐电楼梯坐到怕。

Key chain 大姨现在middle class 的也要，叫妳寄给她。

阿悠叫我别忘了告诉妳她曾请吃‘南大’出名的叉烧饭。在‘南大’及虎豹别墅拍了好些照片。

云云带我去Shangri-la的Coffee Garden， 美到妳见所没见，那厕所比妳的房间还漂亮，真的没骗妳的。云云驾车好狠。她带我去Shang-la 叫我们喝coffee好了，笑到半死。‘Hyatt’ 也不错。

Peoples’ Park Complex 珍珠坊Shopping Centre，像仙境，我与Shir大出洋相。

整天笑个不停，一定会胖几磅。

这封信给大姨看了骂一顿，她说我让她出丑。

现在姨丈要带我们出去Wonderland 吃晚饭了。
