We still not yet got our salary.
Went to 细妈’s place, order ice coffee
for us, Kong2 offer me chocolate and pear.
To Perak Emporium, met Enche Kushari.
2 October 72 (Mon)
They wanted us to vote a most popular director in our
office, I voted Inche Kushari, he’s really a nice guy, the result is Inche
Kushari got the vote, so Mr. Oh and another fellow give us a treat at ‘Lee How
Fook Restaurant’, invited all our girls staff, 20 over girls go by 3 Mercedes,
it’s really a nice lunch, we went back at 2.30 pm, the office is so quiet, they
said the office will not function if without us girls, only the directors
sitting in their room like fool.
3 October 72 (Tue)
At lunch time we went to shopping, I bought a ‘Panda’
cloth, costs me $5.00.
Toh asked me to join her this Saturday, I better think
over first.
Shir came, we chat till 10 something, I want to spend
her 辉记，but Yee Kong came to join us, he paid for me.
4 October 72 (Wed)
Went again to
buy the ‘Smily’ cloth with Toh, Ong & Monday.
I decided to join Yan Yan this Saturday, because Ho is
together with us.
To 细妈’s place, 秀兰measured for me, Ah 莓is there also, she’s doing
the cine, I felt dizzy to see it.
5 October 72
(Thur)
Didn’t crochet
for such a long time.
To the show at Odeon, name of the show is ‘A Case Of
Murder’, met Mr. Liew and MBM Chan, they spend us a drink. Have our supper at 广州,
took so long to prepare the mee, so late already after we went back.
6 October 72 (Fri)
Yan2 brought her friends here and introduced to me,
together we went to Christine’s house, we ate the ice kachang, then they all
came to my place, seven of them, horrible, we chat till 10 something, tomorrow
night they will meet at my place.
7 October 72 (Sat)
In the morning, I accompany Mrs. Soon to go and buy
something. When we got back , Christine
is waiting for Mrs. Soon, when Mrs. Soon came up, I asked her what happened to
Christine, she said Christine will be resigning, because she couldn’t stand the
scolding every time by Mr. Eng.
To ‘Sidney Hair Dressing’ and wash my hair with Toh
& Ong, 1.20$, afterwards they came to my house, we teach Onggy how to
dance.
All of them met at my place, at about 9.00, we went to
St. John straight away, saw Irene, Kushari, Liew, Toh & Ong there, we are
not enjoying at all, because they got a damn bad music. So they suggested to go to King’s , the disco
of King just open tonight, so we went to the Disco, hot music, everybody is
enjoying . Jeff as my partner, to supper
at midnight, at Lian Seng, 2.00 am before we go back. Couldn’t open the door,
because the bloody hell Chee Kong locked the door, Mum open for me.
8 October 72 (Sun)
Mum didn’t cook dinner, so we went to have it at the
‘Lee Brothers Restaurant’, 饭热菜香, really a nice meal for
me. Finished all my short-hand home
work, getting more & more lazy in doing the home work.
10 October 72 (Tue)
Raining almost every day, I caught a cold, sore
throat, went to see Doctor Liew yesterday, wanted to claim back the medical
fees, but the bloody Mr. Teh said cannot, unless we go to the Company’s
doctors.
Have our dinner at 潮州档.
11 October 72 (Wed)
Our friends wanted to go to the Disco again this
coming Saturday. I don’t feel like
going, because my nose couldn’t breathe properly. I refused Yan2, but at about 9.00, James,
Edward and Don came to invite me. Never
mind, this is the last time to go.
12 October 72 (Thur)
That day Mr. Liew came out and ask who knows accounts
and wanted to go to the Chye Hin’s Room and help Mrs. Wong, they all told me to
go, better prospect. So today Mr. Teh
told me to go inside the Chye Hin’s Room, formally was occupied by Torsco, Mrs.
Wong teaches me to do the work, I seems don’t know everything, today I’ve
learnt how to write cheques. Very cold
inside the room. Miss Wong is so eager
to work under Chye Hin, but Mr. Y won’t allow because of Mr. Eng. At last I’m attached to one company, I must
try hard to do my work.
13 October 72 (Fri)
Our director Mr. Kok is not in, tour to Europe, so the
cheques must sign by another one Mr. Choong from Chye Hin Perak, 3rd
floor Mercantile Bank, so heavy rain, they still wanted me to go, use an
umbrella, after going there, he is not in, the man said he’s in the Perak
Traders, at last found him let him sign all the cheques.
Toh and Ong came, they wanted me to took them to ‘Say
Ma’’s place, they are going to made dress, so I took them there, took my own
new dress, 2 dresses costs 7.60, heart ache, missed my short-hand class,
actually I’m lazy to go.
14 October 72 (Sat)
Mum spends Miss Ho mee.
At six, James came to fetch me, to have steam boat at
Edward’s house, half full only, after, they send me back to change, to the
Disco again, quite enjoy, but halfway, 4 hooligans came to annoy, they fight
with Jeff, Edward punch them, I only can see the fist and hear the sound of
bottles, so I pull Ho and run to the toilet, but not long, the lights all on,
Sharron fainted down, so horrible, I told them to send us back first, but they
all went to Edward’s place, and talk about it, at 11.00 something they send us
back, not again, frankly speaking.
15 October 72 (Sun)
To the Perak Emporium, buy an after shave lotion for
Albert’s birthday 4.90$, Oh, dead broke now, poor me.
At about five, they came, so we went to the show at
Kampar ‘Nixon’s Trip to China’, before the show starts, we went to eat Laksa,
because we not yet have our dinner, it’s a very nice show, I hate James because
he criticize from start to end.
We have chicken porridge after the show, back home at
ten something.
