Francis’ father passed away, I gave 3$ which is borrow
from Mum.
Chan gave me a lift back.
17 October 72 (Tue)
Mrs. Soon came to visit me at night, I missed the ‘Bakat
TV’ final.
18 October 72 (Wed)
Run up and down the office, took the cheques to Chye
Hin Perak at 3rd floor Mercantile Bank for Mr. Choong to sign, and
cash the money at Mercantile Bank.
19 October 72 (Thur)
Irene on leave, Janet from Wan Sam came to take her
place, she’s a bit ‘tiga sugu’, running here and there, playing a fool, I don’t
like her. I took the cheques to Chye Hin
(Pk) let Mr. Choong sign it, she dare ask me to buy her fried meehoon.
20 October 72 (Fri)
Sometimes I feel this job is quite interesting,
because I get use to everything now.
MC and Jeff spend us lunch.
21 October 72 (Sat)
Shir spends the night with me, I ask her to go to my
office tomorrow for part time job.
22 October 72 (Sun)
At 9.00 am Shir and Ho came, reach the office, Mr.
Liew arrange everything for us to type, I type in June’s room, but not very
long she came, ask me better don’t use her place, so I shift to Toh’s room.
At lunch time, Mr. Choong spends us to the Station
Hotel, me and Shir order the Chicken Maryland, costs that fellow forty over
dollars, the Ricky from Wan Sam also came, so tired after getting home.
At night, Yan2 and friends came, she said they couldn’t
lock the office doors, we’re so scared that the typewriters and calculators
would steal by somebody, so Mum phone to Mrs. Y. This is the first time and last time to stay
for overtime.
23 October 72 (Mon)
Raining, after my short-hand class, Jit Chew, Edward
and James came, they asked me whether I can go to dance this Saturday or not, I
say I am not sure, spend them ‘Char Siew Paw’.
24 October 72 (Tue)
After work, Shir came to my office, we went to
shopping, I buy a set of glass for Miss Chan as wedding present, got my part
time job’s pay.
Also Mr. Liew spends us lunch, bought a pair of shoes
at Modern World, costs me 15$, Shir spends ‘Ho Hee’.
25 October 72 (Wed)
No work today, together with Boy we went to the show ‘林冲夜奔’, very nice show.
26 October 72 (Thur)
I went to buy the Socso stamps at Malayan Banking
Bhd. Cheng Leng follow me back to my
place, I accompany her to walk here and there just to buy a broach.
27 October 72 (Fri)
They phone me up, asked me to go to the show ‘Sky
Raiders’, but I went with Mum to the show ‘乞丐与艳妓‘，it’s
a true story in Taiwan.
28 October 72 (Sat)
Lack of a girl, so I ask Shir to join us, meet at my
place, 20 persons to the ‘Ipoh Swimming Club’ so few people there only, if
without us, the dance wouldn’t be succeed, truly.
We dance till the end, Christine told me a lot of
thing about Mr. Eng.
Today I write the salary cheques.
Gave Shir her birthday present.
29 October 72 (Sun)
I’m gonna bake cakes today, Shir went with me to buy
the materials. At about 12.00 noon, we
start. I bake one for Shir, she bought
the materials. Don and Edward came, not
long Victor came also.
Raining, we still going to the show ‘The Crush’ – ‘唐手跆拳道‘.
30 October 72 (Mon)
Not yet get my salary, because we don’t have money in
the bank.
Francis can’t finish his work, so I help him to calculate
until 7.00 pm before I got home, missed my short-hand class.
31 October 72 (Tue)
宜 and Brain came, they spend me to ‘Kong Chow’. Mum & Rock went to the show ‘The Crush’
so no one is at home, I go to Shir’s place, I asked her to come over to my
place in order to listen to music, saw a group of people standing in front of
my house, they are Yan2 and friends, we are discussing about the trip to Telok
Badik next week, Hari Raya, public holidays until Mum came back.
Got my pay already.
