Gave 10 dollars red packet for Kong2’s birthday, then
to the show ‘The Heist’ actually it was a nice show but I’m so tired that I
slept through out the show.
Wear my new red skirt to work.
3 Nov 72 (Fri)
To see Kong2, but he is not feeling very well, Mum
accompany him to the Dr.
Groups of friends came, me and Shir are chosen to buy
the ‘food’, we are marketing officer, Ha!!!
4 Nov 72 (Sat)
Today is Deepavali, no work, I bought two Slogan
badges at Lian Do, one s clown and the other is strawberry, looks lovely, met
my ex-classmate, selling cosmetic, I bought one Max Factor’s foundation from
her, 8.50$, got 2$ something left only, how to survive.
Wear 淇’s dress to attend Miss
Chan’s wedding at Imperial Room, Toh, Ho & me joke a lot, stay a while at
Chan’s house.
MC gave me a lift to the Lab. Shir got to work tomorrow.
5 Nov 72 (Sun)
Just got up, MC came already, after my breakfast, to
Julie’s place, together we went to market, bought all necessary things, so warm
that I nearly fainted down, to Irene’s place to take back all my records,
because Rocky has bought a new gram, but she’s out.
At two, FF came, again to Irene’s place, still hasn’t
come back, to 宜’s place, borrow some records from her.
6 Nov 72 (Mon)
Don’t’ feel like working, very hard to past the time.
5.00 o’clock, MC gave us a lift back, so hurry to bath, pack everything, and
eat some rice.
We gather at Yan2’s house, Lee from store also joint
us, listen to the recorder as we go along, I am very tired, sleep on the seat,
once MC brake the car, I fell down from the seat, all of them laugh at me. Ho didn’t had her dinner, so we stopped at a
small town, and have something to fill the stomach, at about eight, we reach
Telok Mulok, we stay at a bungalow which borrow from somebody, the first thing
we do is to rush to the room and have our bed for reserve, MC light the fire to
boil water for making coffee, Andy help him, we sit there listen to music,
dance a little, then the whole group, 16 of
us have a trot at the beach, so dark and warm, no fun at all.
Back to the bungalow, everyone of us get a chair and
sit at the front door, eating groundnuts, chatting and so on, Shir and I feel
tired, we went to sleep first, but not long, they came in to disturb us, one
carry our leg and the other carry our head to the parlour, boy!
MC think of some games to play, quite interesting and
joking, at two am to the beach again, sat at the beach, watching the high tide
of the sea, some of them talking dirty jokes, I just keep quite.
Went to sleep at 3.00 am, but don’t sleep well, too
little space, Julie, shir & I sleep on one bed.
7 Nov 72 (Tue)
Today & tomorrow is Hari Raya, public holiday for
us. I got up at six, Edward ask me to
prepare coffee, but I didn’t listen to what he said, me and Shir went out to the
beach, find a big big rock which stretch straight toward the sea, we just sat
there for the whole morning, watching the fishermen went out to sea, I said to Shir
that I like this rock very much, we can bring home, by using a pin to punch it
and gave out all the gas, after we’re back, blow it up again, the rock is
bigger than our house, talking silly thing the whole morning.
MC came to join us, we said we’re fade up of the food
we bought, I spend them breakfast at town, called Julie along, we ate at a small
shop, I only got 2.00$, Shir gave me 50￠ to pay for it.
Bought one Chinese News Paper to read it on the big
rock.
Play ‘过关’, ate mee for lunch.
To Telok Batak，because
the beach there is more clean, I didn’t bring my swimming costume, wearing short
and play ‘Monkey’ with the small kids there, wet the whole body, lay on the
beach to rest. Way home at 3.00
something, so tired.
Julie spend 鱿鱼翁菜opposite my house.
Went to bed at 7.00 o’clock.
8 Nov 72 (Wed)
The whole body feels so painful, rest for the whole
day.
9 Nov 72 (Thur)
Actually we want to go to the Hindustani film
'Elephant-my friend', but the film has not yet come, so Shir and I bought some
'ah poong' to eat at home.
10 Nov 72 (Fri)
Mrs. Soon and Jack Soon came, to buy something at the
Perak Emporium.
Taking short-hand dictation, but not doing very well.
11 Nov 72 (Sat)
Promise to bake a cake for Mrs. Soon as her wedding
present, no money, so withdraw 20$ from the Post Office, spend the whole
evening for just baking the cake.
Ask MC to give me a lift to Mrs. Soon’s house, then to
the show ‘童子功’，Shir join us too, after the show, Shir spends 辉记，I
spend 清补凉, watching TV for a while, then to see the midnight, but all the
theatres also full house, better go back early and sleep. MC hurts his leg, so it's lucky for him to go
back early.
12 Nov 72 (Sun)
Munzik came to fetch me to Mrs. Soon's wedding
luncheon, but I didn't get ready, I thought they are not free to come and take
me, so I simply put on a dress and go, the luncheon is held at the Imperial
Room, we sat together with all those strangers, no fun at all, felt 讨厌too, but one thing the dishes are nice.
13 Nov 72 (Mon)
Reply a letter to Clearance, his letter is very loving
one, I sent one of my photo to him, because he's dying to see me, I ask him not
to show it to anyone.
Raining!
14 Nov 72 (Tue)
淇 phone to me, said want to spend to a 'makan', because today is her
birthday, so I rush to the book store and buy her a 'Dressmaking' pattern book
3.00$, buy on behalf of Mum a box of tissue and 'Modex' for 淇, James Bond drives the car, we have a look at the 'Angela Flair'
Boutique shop, the prices are horrible, they took 力力 and
礼礼 along to eat at 'Canning'.
15 Nov 72 (Wed)
Today I bank in over 100,000.00$, so I open all the
creditors cheques.
At night， Beh Chan and Mopikko came,
they gave me a treat at opposite.
