1 Dec 72 (Fri)

Got our salary today. 

Paid the following:

Short hand fees： 6.00$

Mum and 供会：60$

Books: 2.30$

Spend FF: 1.00$, Mum 0.60$

Total: 72.90

Toh always stomachache, I told her to take ‘Antipar’, round worms expeller, today she got sick after taking the medicine, she blames me for that, Ha!

 

2 Dec 72 (Sat)

Went to shopping with 淇 again, return 3.50$ to her, buy two panty 4.00$, hair clip 1.00$, tissue & cream 2.70$, total: 11.20$.

This month start 搭食, so ask Mum to keep 10$ for me to pay the meals.

Wear my new dress to the show ‘They call me Trinity’, quite alright.

 

3 Dec 72 (Fri)

Finished all my short hand home work and the diary from 12^th Nov till now, now I am feeling so tired, gonna go to bed now.

Copy from the record my favorite song ‘Sylvia’s mother said’.

To the show at Majestic Theatre ‘真假千金’.

 

4 Dec 72 (Mon)

I was going to my short hand class, MC phones me, he asked whether I want to go to the Apex Trade Fair at Canning Garden or not, he’ll come to fetch me at 9.00 o’clock.

The bloody short-hand teacher said she doesn’t want to teach me anymore, yesterday I just paid her my school fees, and the deposit cannot be refunded also, plus 3$ entrance fee, I wasted 15$ altogether, next month, gonna start again at other school.  Wow!

We can’t find the way to the Trade Fair, ask one of the woman passing by, she told us so.  Phylisa Chong was at the Nestles’ store, we voted her as the beauty queen of the Fair, I bought two packets of the ‘Maggi’ products, cost $3.20, the things there were quite cheap and reasonable, met lots of his friends, shame also.

After the fair, to eat at the Canning Garden, order all sorts of 小食.

 

5 Dec 72 (Thur)

Julie and Yan2 came, they said they gonna go down to KL this Sat, by Lee’s car, I also wanna go, so I wrote a letter to Clarence ask him to take us out.

They called porridge from opposite, but I didn’t spend them.

 

6 Dec 72 (Wed)

Tonight, they came again, they want to go to the show, but I don’t feel like going, Shir came also, we chat till about 9.00 something.

Went to the book store to buy some Christmas card with Shir, I spend her ‘Ho Hee’ and ‘Look2’, half way, she met her friend Ah Cheong and William, it was quite near our house, but that lazy Shir still wanted them to give us a lift, we went to car ride for awhile then stop at ‘Lian Seng’ and have some drinks, 11.00 pm till we move back.

 

7 Dec 72 (Thur)

There are two newly opened coffee houses in our town Ipoh.

After work, walk to bus station with Julie, met MC halfway, he wanted to spend us to the ‘Maxim coffee house’, called Shirley along too.

Shir not feeling well, went to doc together with her.  Julie didn’t join us at the coffee house.  I order a king size ice cream named ‘New York Sundae’.

 

8 Dec 72 (Fri)

Mr. Eng suggested that from now on we must have a meeting every week to talk about our work, problems and so on, so we stay back to attend the meeting, Mr. Kok, Mrs. Wong, Francis, Chow Kee, Eng and me.  Sometimes I feel like laughing out, but I control myself, I don’t know what’s so funny.

Raining, Mr. Eng took us back.

Washed my hair, so cold!

Ate 粒饭at ‘Ipoh Restaurant’.

 

9 Dec 72 (Sat)

So much work to do, I seems don’t like to go to KL already, Pair2 also told me not to go, but I promise them already, I told them so, Lin & Julie scolded me.  What to do, one thing when we reach there, how to contact our friend, Clarence hasn’t reply my letter yet, I phone to him, nobody answer the phone call also.  Shir phones me, M
C also phones me to go to the show, I said I phone him up after work, not decided yet.

Went home, Mum said not to go, so we went out to have our lunch, in order not to let them come to fetch me at 2.30 pm, to Perak Emporium, then to the show ‘The Computer wore Dennis’ shoes’, met Toh there.

Phoned Mooi Chooi three times, not at home.

Asked Shir to join us to the Night Club tonight with Rock and his friends, no fun at all, all are so ulu.

Ate at the small store 潮州档, they want to go to the ABJ Coffee House, but Shir said too late already, 1.30 am reach home, so tired.

 

11 Dec 72 (Mon)

Mum played piano, I sang Christmas songs for the whole night, I like X’mas songs.

 

12 Dec 72 (Tue)

Shir came, we called fried mee from opposite and chat a lot.

Watched TV’s ‘Rolf Harris Show’, every night also went to bed at 11.00 pm.

Bought a bottle of Eipon egg shampoo, fresh up, nail polish at Kong Fatt. 2.70+1.40+2.20=used 6.30$.

 

13 Dec 72 (Wed)

I have worked in this Company for 4 months already, they said got 3 months probation, raise 20$, so me and Miss Tan asked Toh to tell Mr. Kok, hope can get it.

X’mas card to Clarence, Ricky, Jackson & Mrs. Soon.

 

14 Dec 72 (Thur)

Today, I am making mistakes all the time, filled the EPF form A all wrongly, no more form in this office already, so I asked Muthu to help me and get some from Post Office or EPF Dept tomorrow, they said actually these type of forms cannot simply get, I don’t care so much. About 5.00 pm Mr. Kok came in and asked who release the cheque to Olivetti without his signature, Mrs. Wong asked me, I said I also not very clear, Mr. Kok should think is me, because I in charge of all the cheques, so sad today, no mood to talk to anybody.

 

15 Dec 72 (Fri)

Mum booked the ticket to the show ‘Willard’, while I was resting on my bed, Shir came, she said she bring someone to see me, I looked down from the stairs, was Anthony from KL, chat for awhile, then accompany them to have their dinner at the Diamond Restaurant, Tony ate so much, terrible!

To the show at Lido, the show is about the rats that killed people, Mum spend, Tony buys ice cream & pop corns for us, met Ah Toh。

After the show, to ABJ Coffee House at opposite, but full house, to Maxim same also, it was malu to let the KL guy knew that Ipoh Coffee Houses are so unusual, straight away to Lean Seng and ate satay, Mum pays for it again.  Shir gonna stays in my place tonight, so she went back to get her pajamas, we waited for her at opposite, Tony ate the 清补凉.

Mum played the piano, Anthony sang the Mandarin songs, really a joker, about two before he went back to hotel, me and Shir lied down and chat till 3.00 o’clock.
