To Perak Emporium after work, bought one album for 宜’s engagement, 9.50, shared with Rocky.
Shir to my place, Mum spend opposite’s mee.
Bought one letter shelf at Lendo for Boy’s birthday
4.50$, very cute and nice.
17 March 73 (Sat)
Shir spend me lunch at the Freedom Restaurant, Indian
food.
Mum made me the Maxi, very nice indeed, copy Shir’s
style.
Tan & Ho came at two something, we were going to
the show ‘妈妈心碎了’, I spend Pair2, because last Sunday I wanted to spend her, but we didn’t
go.
Couldn’t do the exercise.
18 March 73 (Sun)
宜 said she likes my album very much, Boy also phone me and thanks for my
present to him.
Seems got a lot of thing to finish, but very lazy to
attend to it.
19 March 73 (Mon)
That day, Mum bought a make-up case ‘化妆箱’ as for my birthday present.
20 March 73 (Tue)
Intend to go to the show ‘Carrying on loving’, have
our dinner at ‘Mun Tien’, eventually change our mind and went to see the ‘Flower
in the rain’ 雨中花，not bad, but the songs are horrible.
21 March 73 (Wed)
Got no money to pay for the Pitmen Advance Exam fees,
so borrow 10$ from Mum, hope I could pass my exam. (sure pass)
22 March 73 (Thur)
To store and find out some information, before going,
with Pair2 we went to the nearby book store and see the pattern book, like to
buy, but got no money.
After work, raining, to the nine o’clock show ‘忍’， Mum asked me to take the pattern book from the store opposite Rex
Theatre, put into her account. To Liew’s
shop made a red colour pants, Fat gave 10$ as for my birthday present.
23 March 73 (Fri)
Lunch hour, with Pair2 & Shir, we went to the
nearby temple and 求签, but seems didn’t know the
law and everything, so I said better go back and don’t be so 迷信, Shir also agreed with me. On
the way, drop in La’trix Coffee House, ate Roti Babi & Poor Boy Sandwich,
three of us shared, each one $1.70.
After work, Irene & Shirley Lee said there’s a
meeting held in this office, insist me to attend. It was all about how to become a good
secretary, I am an A/C clerk, nothing concerned about me, so I 退出. Didn’t go with Shirley Lee to
dinner, because tonight got class.
Fat gave the Ang Paw to Yee Kim for engagement of 宜.
To Maxim, ate fish & chips, soup Italian &
fresh milk.
24 March 73 (Sat)
To ‘Maple Leaf’ and have our dinner there. I order set dinner, quite worth it, 5.50$
only, got fried fish, chicken in basket, mushroom soup, Sundae and coffee, five
courses. I enjoy the chicken in basket
very much. Tua Ku & 可可 also came with us.
25 March 73 (Sun)
Every Sunday, they also came to play Poker, this also
good for Mum to have the tax from them.
Sad when I can’t get the book-keeping balance sheet.
26 March 73 (Mon)
Running up and down the office stairs for at least 8
times today, so my legs felt cramp and very painful.
The drunkard Fat spend us to the Kok Kee Restaurant to
eat crabs and prawns, hate to go out with him in this manner, he used to tease
the beer girl and the waitress, seems like doesn’t know how to behave in
public. After eating so full already,
suggested to have some desert at the Maxim Coffee House, I just drink a cup of
hot Milo, met Albert Lee and friends, pulled him to join us, non stop talking,
feel dull and sleepy, asked Rocky to drive Mum & me back first.
11.30 already.
27 March 73 (Tue)
Pair2 asked Mrs. Wong to find her a match, I was only
joking and asked her to find one for me.
But she takes it seriously and said she got one for me. I just can’t refuse her 好意, I said it was quite malu to introduce boy to me in this way, hope she’ll
forget all about it. She even wanted to
phone to Mum.
Jamadas cheap sale, went to have a look with my
colleagues.
Took three days leave, that is from 2nd to
4th of April 73, intend to go back with Pair2 to Butterworth, because I was tired of working
this few days.
28 March 73 (Wed)
Raining heavily, so miss the book-keeping class again.
At about nine, Shirley Lee came to my place, to Irene’s
house and fetch her, together we went to eat the ‘Tau gay’ – 芽菜, Irene spend this time.
We chat about our trips to Bangkok later this year,
said should save some money, get an International Passport and so on all this
things. We said this is the time for us
to enjoy life.
29 March 73 (Thur)
We are going to the Imperial Room to eat the 暖炉but somebody else is having their wedding dinner there, so have to
change our place to Maxim Café House, I order Fillet Pork Chop, not bad.
Mrs. Soon phoned me up this evening, the whole office
only her that left behind, her husband didn’t come to fetch her, she felt
scared so phoned me up, I talked all sorts of ghosts to frighten her.
30 March 73 (Fri)
Tomorrow, I’ll follow Pair2 back to Butterworth, so no
time to go and see the Walt Disney’s cartoon ‘Pinocchio’, as well miss my
book-keeping class and went to the show with Mum. Met Sar Ku and family, after the show they
took us to have some makan at the Ipoh Garden.
Mrs. Soon today said our office is haunted, especially
in Mr. Liew’s room, last night she heard the pencils’ sound, also the sound of
the keys. Today the electricity all went
out, we dare not go inside Mr. Liew’s room.
31 March 73 (Sat)
Actually we are following Mr. Eng back, but the sales
man of MBM is also going back, and he went back quite early just after work, so
we follow him, rush back and pack my things in a hurry, Donald and his brother
sat in front, we reached Butterworth at about 5.00 pm, Pair2’s mother is very
friendly, ate crab at dinner.
To 苏青’s house, but she was not at
home, watched TV and talked till mid-night.
At night, both of us ate a bowl of 当归.
Her house is very neat and tidy, quite comfortable
staying here.
