16 Nov 72 (Thur)
Today, June suggested to have our lunch at the Station
Hotel, 3 dollars for each person, we ate set lunch, included chicken chop,
tomato soup, sweet roll and butter, ice cream, coffee.
Tommy and girl friend Ah Poh came back from KL.
Raining day and night.
17 Nov 72 (Fri)
Went to the show ‘Young People’ with Tommy, but full
house, so buy upstairs.
Rock spends 鸡粥，back to bed at about 12.00
mid-night.
18 Nov 72 (Sat)
After work, to 'Kwang Fatt' in order to catch a bus
home, at one of the food stores there, I bought two packets of curry rice with
drum stick, because Mum didn’t cook rice today.
At night went to picture with MC, Mum and so on went
to dinner with Tommy, I go to the show with empty stomach, ‘Hot Rock’ is
actually a very nice show, we sat upstairs, met our Director Mr. Tam On.
After the show, he wants to spend me at 枫林，but with the busy traffic on Saturday night, can’t reach there, so go
straight to Lee How Fook Restaurant , he order 鲍鱼鸡翅，蟹王翅，and 大虾，I ate a lot, he also fried a packet of mee for Mum, used him 30$ over
dollars tonight.
Watch the Cilla Black show, he asked me wanted to go
to Taiping or not tomorrow, I haven't decided yet.
19 Nov 72 (Sun)
Tommy went back to KL today. We cancel the trip to Taiping, because
raining and the important point is Tua Yee came back from S’pore.
Tua Yee bought me a T. Shirt with a big box of matches
on it.
Mum bought a few records.
20 Nov 72 (Mon)
Stomach feel very uncomfortable, I think I ate too
much in the office, Rojak, Nanga, Kachang Puteh, ice and so on, that’s why my
stomach can’t stand it.
Island gave me a lift this morning.
21 Nov 72 (Tue)
Edward phone to me said Don is inviting me to his
cocktail party at Canning. The occasion
is Don & Edmond are gonna shift into this new house, Mum and so on went to
the show ‘Hot Rock’, so MC phone me, I said I am going with him, I wore that
big matches Tee Shirt, they all tease me for the whole night, said who want to
smoke, no need to get a lighter, Sandy got a big box of matches, I said be
careful don’t touch my matches, you boys always pretend like drunk. They gave me a glass of punch, very nice soft
drink with fruit salad, orange juice and little bit brandy.
I felt rather tired, but then they start to play
games, really joke a lot, but the games are rather you know the dirty type,
back home at 12.00 midnight.
22 Nov 72 (Wed)
Tua Yee stays at Sar Ku’s place, to night Island gonna
come down to our place, we’re going to the show ‘真假千金’,
but full house, so we just simply walk around, ate ‘look2’ bought some Kayang
Paw to watch TV and eat.
25 Nov 72 (Sat)
淇 came to my office, she wants to go shopping with me, but Mrs. Wong
wanted me to stay back and help her, she called a plate of curry rice for me,
after eaten that thing, it’s not so nice for me to go away too early, I stay
for overtime till 3.00 pm.
To Perak Emporium, I bought two packets of chocolate,
one for Ocean. Back home, Mum said Ocean
is waiting for us to go to the record shop, but after so long we didn’t get
back, he doesn’t want to wait any longer, I phoned him to come out tonight. Island gave me a key chain, written on it ‘Smile,
and the world smile with you’, a lots of smiley faces on it, costs him
2.50$. I return him a postcard size
Poster, written ‘Love is when you find a girl who’s still a virgin after her 38th
boyfriend’ with a short-sighted girl on it.
At night, 淇 and Ocean came, we walked
through all those record shop, they bought few records to take back to S’pore,
ate some ‘Ah Boom’, at 12.00 am went out to eat 芽菜，淇
spent.
Felt headache, too much work to do, I think so..
26 Nov 72 (Sun)
Early in the morning, 姨丈
came already, he wakes us up, go to old town to have our breakfast, ate all
those beef balls. To Sar Ku’s place.
Mum is sick, I accompany her to see Dr. Liew, she’s
flu.
The whole group of us have our lunch at ‘Kong Heng’, I
order chicken leg soup, not bad!
27 Nov 72 (Mon)
Mum is quite sick, so I can’t just leave her alone, I
took one day leave, I phone to office so many times but couldn’t connect, I
think the phone is out of order, lucky that Mrs. Soon phone back to me.
Tua Yee gone back to S’pore today. Fish and Cotton stayed here to help me.
28 Nov 72 (Tue)
Lunch time gone out with them to have some window
shopping.
Shir came, called two plates of mee and meehoon to eat
with her.
30 Nov 72 (Thur)
One of our company’s Sabah creditor spend us lunch at
the Station Hotel, set lunch again, today’s set lunch is tomato soup, assorted
meats, a bowl of salad, sweet rolls & butter, fruit jelly. The creditor’s name is Cheah SK.
